AG Crisis Response provides funds for the most urgent relief needs in the more than 200 countries and territories in which Assemblies of God World Missions works. More than 2,500 U.S. missionaries minister within a network of more than 270,000 local congregations throughout the world.

Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation’s premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.

AmeriCares is an international relief organization whose passion to help is matched by an ability to deliver.  Whether it’s an epic disaster or a daily struggle, AmeriCares goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure that medicines, medical supplies and aid reaches individuals in need wherever they are, whenever they need it.

CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. Women are at the center of CARE’s community-based efforts to improve basic education, prevent the spread of HIV, increase access to clean water and sanitation, and expand economic opportunity and protect natural resources. CARE also delivers emergency aid to survivors of war and natural disasters, and helps people rebuild their lives. The organization has 38 national offices around the world.

Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. The agency provides assistance to people in 99 countries and territories. CRS first provides direct assistance where needed, then encourages people to help with their own development and foster secure, productive, just communities that enable people to realize their potential. CRS responds to both natural disasters and complex emergencies, and approaches its emergency response programming through a framework of saving lives, supporting livelihoods and strengthening civil society.

The Center for International Disaster Information provides information and guidance in support of appropriate international disaster relief. Individuals, groups, corporations, non-government organizations, embassies, media and others from around the world have come to rely upon CIDI’s resources and services in order to provide more effective international emergency assistance.

The Center’s mission is to promote effective civil-military management in international humanitarian assistance, disaster response and peacekeeping through education, training, research and informational programs.

The Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) is a humanitarian fund established by the United Nations to enable more timely and reliable humanitarian assistance to those affected by natural disasters and armed conflicts.

Convoy of Hope mobilizes, resources, and trains churches and other groups to conduct community outreaches, respond to disasters, and direct other compassion initiatives in the United States and around the world.

Direct Relief International provides medical assistance to improve the quality of life for people affected by poverty, disaster, and civil unrest at home and throughout the world. They work to strengthen the in-country health efforts of their partners by providing essential material resources—medicines, supplies and equipment.

DisasterAssistance.gov is a secure, user-friendly U.S. government web portal that consolidates disaster assistance information in one place. If you need assistance following a presidentially declared disaster—which has been designated for individual assistance—you can now to go to DisasterAssistance.gov to register online. Local resource information to help keep citizens safe during an emergency is also available.

Feed The Children is a Christian, international relief organization that delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families who lack these essentials due to famine, war, poverty or natural disaster. The ninth-largest relief organization in the United States, it delivers food and other essentials to children and families in need in all 50 states and in countries around the world.

Forward Edge International exists to mobilize ordinary people to share Christ’s love with those affected by poverty, disaster and sickness in the U.S. and around the world. With the help of thousands of partner volunteers, Forward Edge International alleviates suffering through disaster relief, health care projects and programs for vulnerable children.

GDACS is a web-based platform that combines existing web-based disaster information management systems with the aim to alert the international community in case of major sudden-onset disasters and to facilitate the coordination of international response during the relief phase of the disaster. The aim of GDACS is to provide the international disaster response community with a platform to ensure that disaster alerts and information relevant to the international disaster response is exchanged interactively in a structured and predictable manner among all concerned.

The mission of HFI is to alleviate suffering caused by disasters and chronic human need through stimulating the global Christian community into compassionate action. Hope Force International is a Christian nonprofit organization comprised of individuals dedicated to utilizing their expertise to inspire, equip and mobilize thousands of volunteers into areas of crisis around the world.

Over the years, International Aid has responded to approximately 80 disasters around the world. With the help of our local partners and donors, we are able to support the rebuilding efforts for people in greatest need. Their emergency response goals are to support others in first response, replenish medical equipment and supplies, focus on rebuilding efforts to restore the area, and prevent disease with portable medical labs, water purification systems and hygiene kits.

The ICRC is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of war and armed violence. The ICRC has a permanent mandate under international law to take impartial action for prisoners, the wounded and sick, and civilians affected by conflict.

By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, IMC rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.

The Center for Refugee and Disaster Response at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is an internationally recognized education and research center that promotes excellence in humanitarian and emergency disaster assistance and preparedness.

Mercy Corps is a team of 3,700 professionals helping turn crisis into opportunity for millions around the world. By trade, they are engineers, financial analysts, drivers, community organizers, project managers, public health experts, administrators, social entrepreneurs and logisticians. In spirit, they are activists, optimists, innovators and proud partners of the people they serve.

NDIN is a national network of disaster interfaith organizations working together to reduce disaster-caused human suffering through the exchange of information and cooperative support.

NERT is committed to the establishment of independent and joint ventures to conceive, develop and implement disaster response services and educational programs that coordinate publicly available resources during a crisis situation.

National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster coordinates planning efforts by many voluntary organizations responding to disaster. Member organizations provide more effective and less duplication in service by getting together before disasters strike. Once disasters occur, NVOAD or an affiliated state VOAD encourages members and other voluntary agencies to convene on site. This cooperative effort has proven to be the most effective way for a wide variety of volunteers and organizations to work together in a crisis.

Oxfam International is an international group of independent non-governmental organizations dedicated to fighting poverty and related injustice around the world. The Oxfams work together internationally to achieve greater impact by their collective efforts.

Relief Web is the world’s leading online gateway to information (documents and maps) on humanitarian emergencies and disasters. An independent vehicle of information, designed specifically to assist the international humanitarian community in effective delivery of emergency assistance, it provides timely, reliable and relevant information as events unfold, while emphasizing the coverage of “forgotten emergencies” at the same time. ReliefWeb was launched in October 1996 and is administered by the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

It is the mission of the National Disaster Medical System to design, develop, and maintain a national capability to deliver quality medical care to the victims of—and responders to—a domestic disaster. NDMS provides state of the art medical care under any conditions at a disaster site, in transit from the impact area, and into participating definitive care facilities.

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian charity organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
